Climate change, driven by green house
gas emissions, is having a significant
impact on our everyday lives;
from the way we water our gardens
and clean cars to the economy,
jobs, where we live, how we live and,
most important, our quality of life.
Tomorrow's climate is therefore today's
biggest challenge.
Almost half of the UK's carbon emisions
come from the energy we use at home and when we
travel. Through these day-to-day activities, the
average British citizen produces 11 tonnes of carbon
a year. This takes into account everything from
watching TV to taking a trip to the seaside and using
a computer
|
|
By saving energy we can all help to prevent climate
change - which is why simple, green living and leaving
as light a carbon footprint as possible is becoming an
increasingly popular choice with consumers
